Vacation in Cabo San Lucas, Baja Mexico Sur

What to do when visiting Cabo

Visiting Cabo San Lucas can be very fun.  With a little planning it can be even more exciting! So far one of my favorite hotels that is not an all inclusive hotel is the Sirena Del Mar by Hyatt Vacation Club in Cabo San Lucas Baja Mexico. I like visiting at this resort because all the rooms have a kitchen or kitchenette. It’s so nice to pick up a few things from Cost Co and stock your room refrigerator with some beverages and snacks. Having a kitchen is super handy especially if you have any diet restrictions. The resort does have a restaurant that offers a variety of foods to choose from.  There is also nightly entertainment next to the dining area.  This resort is very intimate and you feel well pampered. The resort is luxurious on 7 acres perched on the cliffs of Cabo San Lucas on the corridor peninsula.  It hosts amazing views of El Arco.  Every villa is either an ocean view or a garden view. Whale watching season is from December 15 to March 15th. You can sunbathe and swim in the private protected beach cove.  There are no vendors at this beach. The resort is a ten minute drive to the heart of Cabo San Lucas shopping and nightlife.  The hotel has two beautiful infinity edge pools, a spa, swim up bar.  You can get a massage al Fresca.  Enjoy a meal at the Estrella Restaurant and Bar. You can even work out in the ocean view fitness center.

What you should do while visiting Cabo

While visiting Cabo there are a few activities I highly recommend.  I really enjoyed going on a few tours.  You can reserve the tours in advance or arrange for them with your hotel concierge. One of my all time favorite tours is the Sunset Sailing Tour. Watching the sun set over the lands end in Cabo will never get old.

Exploring Todo Santos

While in Cabo, one fun tour is to go to Todo Santos for a day.  I really enjoyed the Recycled Glass Blowing factory, the blanket factory, Tequila tasting, homemade candy and the iconic Hotel California.

Adventures on the sand

No trip to Cabo would be complete if you don’t go on an ATV or ride a camel. Did you know there are camels in Cabo? You can ride an ATV along the shore line. You can even ride a camel and watch the sun set. Adventures are just waiting for you in Cabo.

Something different in Cabo

When visiting Cabo I highly recommend you visit Flora Farms.  It’s really breathtaking and is something different than the normal tourist traps.  Flora Farms is located slightly north of San Jose del Cabo, Mexico.  It’s tucked away in the foothills of the Sierra de la Laguna Mountains. The farm is a 25 acre organic working farm. This is a place you have to go to.  Plan a breakfast or dinner at Flora Farms.  You can also do an art workshop, cooking class and so many other things. They also have an event space that is absolutely fabulous. This is an excellent fin dining experience in Cabo San Lucas.
